The Hallmark of Competence

On May 1, 2019, NEHA's board of directors spent a full day educating elected officials in Washington, DC, in an effort to support credentialing and the Environmental Health Workforce Act. This legislation reinforces the critical role credentialed professionals play in protecting and promoting the health, safety, and security of people in the U.S., their families, and their communities. In that spirit, Dr. Dyjack has asked Sarah Hoover, NEHA's credentialing manager, to share her insight into the state NEHA's credentialing operation. Hoover provides a brief overview of professional credentialing, the status of NEHA's credentialing program, and future opportunities for growth within the program.
