Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical assignments involving office and field review, inspections, investigations, permit processing, enforcement and interpretations relating to environmental and health laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units of completed college coursework in Environmental Health, Public Health, Health Science, Environmental Science/Studies, Water Treatment, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, and/or Ecology or a closely related field and six (6) months experience performing technical support work in a regulatory, public health or environmental service environment.
  • License and Certification Requirements: A valid California State Class C Driver’s License.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment: Work is performed in a standard office environment and in internal and external environments throughout the City.
