Building Capacity by Staffing for Data Operations

This month's column explores the functions of local health department data operations. Data operations are nonpolicy, nonhealth, and noninspection activities that are essential to local health departments. A model for staffing data operations is introduced, which includes staffing numbers for different jurisdiction sizes and a job function model.
